Home Depot Snubs Unity Gathering

(Seattle, WA) - Atlanta based Home Depot stated that it\'s values were \"inconsistent\"
with a local unity gathering, in an email Saturday to Bud Weather, producer of the
One Family Gathering. The regional festival titled "One Family Gathering" is a
three-day outdoor event featuring local Seattle artists and musicians. In it\'s
letter Home Depot has declined involvement with the One Family Gathering stating
\"competitive business reasons,\" and the inability to \"to preview content of any
program prior to its broadcast.\"

The One Family Gathering, found at http://www.onefamilygathering.org on the World
Wide Web, will simultaneously host a rave, barter fair, and a music festival at
their first event, May 2-4 in central Oregon. "The One Family Gathering offers a
chance for us to come together as one and celebrate our diversity in a safe
environment," said the festival's creator, Bud Weather. Weather, an eight-year
veteran of festival production scene, says he is developing the festival as an
answer to the problems that have arisen with other festivals. \"It\'s hard to belive a
company could actually have the nerve to take a stand against unity,\" said Weather.

"This is a gathering of true equals on all levels and points of view or expression.
It\'s a shame Home Depot disagrees with that concept," said Sean Smith, One Family
Gathering's communication facilitator.
The festival website states that it \"intends to unify a variety of cultures from
many other peaceful gatherings.\" The May event, described as "an impressive
undertaking" by John Malson, President of Syndicate Cosmetics, provides a venue for
local and regional acts of diverse talents to expose themselves to audiences
normally outside their fan-base.

For the One Family Gathering, over 90 live music performance groups are currently
being selected including Minimal Control, Deep Sleep Narcotics Company, Dj Reazen,

develop an all-inclusive three-day outdoor music festival, rave, and barter fair
from the ground musicians performing twenty-four hours a day throughout the event.
The One Family Gathering is poised to be the first event attempting to have nonstop
music in the Pacific Northwest.

More than 4000 music lovers and alternative lifestyle enthusiasts are expected to
converge on central Oregon May 2-4, 2008, for the One Family Gathering. Set in the
high desert, One Family Gathering promises to entertain with over 100 local music
